Donations can be made to the Charity by cash, cheque, standing order (please click here for a Mandate) or bank transfer including Give As You Earn schemes.  There is a secured safe in the reception area of St Monica’s Hospital into which any donations can be made.  This safe is regularly emptied and is monitored by the Hospital’s CCTV system.  There are also 2 wooden collecting boxes – one also in the reception area and one in the physiotherapy reception area.

Gift Aid is available to the Charity if the donor is a tax payer.  All that is needed is the completion of a Gift Aid Declaration showing your address and confirming that you pay tax.  The Charity is then able to apply for an additional amount from the Government.  This currently means that £1 from you, becomes £1.25 for the Charity.  If your details are not already held by the Charity, please click here for a Declaration form.

The Charity has been very fortunate in the past in being the recipient of generous legacies.  If you would like to help the Charity to maintain St Monica’s Hospital, please contact your own solicitor to ensure that your wishes are respected.

Members of the local community can become Friends of the Charity with an annual subscription of 50p.  The subscriptions are collected, usually in brown Gift Aid envelopes, by a group of volunteers.  If you would like to know who is the volunteer in your area, please contact Christine Andrew on 01347 810584.

The benefit of becoming a Friend means that you have an opportunity to attend and speak at public meetings, you can offer yourself as a committee member at the AGM and more importantly could become a Trustee.  In this way, you would have the chance to influence the direction and aims of the Charity and to ensure that the best interests of St Monica’s Hospital are maintained.
