David Kenworthy is the Honorary Chairman of the Friends of St Monica’s Hospital.
David was a police officer for 36 years and came to live in Easingwold in 1998 when he became Chief Constable of North Yorkshire. David’s experience in policing in various parts of the country showed him that communities that work together are less reliant on statutory services and make a significant contribution to charitable work.
David chaired the York and North Yorkshire Community Foundation (now the Two Ridings Community Foundation) and on retirement chaired two national charities. For eight years he was the chair of UK Anti-Doping, protecting clean athletes and latterly a non-executive director of a driver training company.
He is a Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire.
