Our grants for physical and mental health activities make a big difference to the lives of people in Easingwold and surrounding villages. One example is Jorvik Silver Swans Ballet who asked for help to buy portable ballet barres for use in the Galtres Centre. We were pleased to help. Here’s a testimonial from one lady who has found essential health benefits from the classes that a grant has made possible.

“I was an amateur from the age of three to 45. I am now 80 and have Parkinson’s. To be able to return to a ballet class at an appropriate level is a godsend.  The class provides an enjoyable form of essential exercise recommended for my condition. Laucinda is sensitive to my limitations and keeps me safe. Silver Swans is an ideal way to start the week.”

If you would like to apply for help, then look at our Grant Applications page on this website. For information about Silver Swans, contact Laucinda Roberts at [email protected]
