Grant Applications

In addition to our primary role of supporting the patients and staff at St Monica’s Hospital by providing funding for extra equipment and services, we also invest in the health of our community by supporting local Primary Care providers and other organisations by providing funding for projects that aim to improve health, well-being and prevent illness.

We are keen to support projects across our local community that are served by the Ampleforth, Easingwold (Millfield), Hovingham, Stillington and Tollerton GP Surgeries. Projects should be linked to improving the health and well-being of local residents and we will consider funding one-off projects and those for a 2-3 year period (so that the project can be assessed for effectiveness before ongoing funding is sought).

We have developed a pre-application process that allows you to seek advice and support from our Grants Committee as part of the application process. If successful in this first phase then you will be supported through the formal application. We are keen to see projects that have support of the local community or are able to show effectiveness from similar projects elsewhere.

Please keep things simple and consider making it SMART:

Be clear and unambiguous when describing your project and its goals.

Describe the project outcomes. How will people know what has been achieved?

Your project requires to be technically possible. What is the core purpose of your project?

Effective goals require milestones and deadlines. What is your timeframe?
